Waters We Fish
Four waters within an hour of Tahlequah — each with its own personality, target species, and best season. We match your trip to what's fishing well right now.
Illinois River
Our home water. A designated Scenic River with clear, moving current, gravel shoals, and long bluff pools — this is where our multi-day camping trips happen. Smallmouth and spotted bass dominate, with solid goggle-eye (rock bass) and channel cat action too.
Lake Tenkiller
One of Oklahoma's clearest lakes, formed on the Illinois River behind Tenkiller Dam. Deep bluff walls and standing timber make it a trophy largemouth and smallmouth fishery, with a stocked striper population for anglers chasing something bigger.
Lake Hudson
Also known as Lake Markham Ferry, Hudson's wide flats, brush piles, and creek channels make it one of the best crappie lakes in the region — with largemouth holding tight to the same cover most of the year.
Fort Gibson Lake
The largest of the three lakes we run, with big open-water flats that hold roaming striper and hybrid schools. When the wind lays down, it's some of the best sight-fishing water in the region.
Before You Go
Check conditions before every trip
Water levels and lake levels change fast in this region. We check gauge and lake-level data before every trip, and you can too.
